Terms and Abbreviations

Articulated: toy that can be manipulated into various positions.
Bendable: term used to describe a toy , usually rubber, with wire inside. The
toy holds the pose you make because of the wire.
BK: this item originated at Burger King restaurants (usually a kid's meal toy).
C1-C10: a system for grading toy and package conditions, no items will appear
on this site under C7 ("on a scale of 1-10").
ESB: Empire Strikes Back, line of Star Wars toys
Jointed: a toy that can be articulated with the use of joints (typically an
action figure like GI Joes).
Mail-Away: usually acquired by ordering with proofs of purchases, or order forms
found on the back of products.
McD: this item originated at McDonald's restaurants (usually a Happy Meal toy).
MIB: mint in the original box (the box may be less than mint but the contents
are mint).
MIMB: same as above but the box is in mint condition.
MIMP: mint item in a mint package.
MIP: mint in the original package (contents are mint but the package my be
less than mint).
MOC: mint on card.
MOMC: mint on a mint card (no defects at all, as if it was picked off the assembly line).
MOT: "mint on tree" item is usually an unassembled toy that needs to be
separated from a framework and then glued or snapped together.
Poseable: any toy that be articulated into different positions (bendable,
jointed or other).
MNP: mint no package, this item never had packaging and is in mint condition.
Non-articulated: an item that is static or cannot be positioned, statue like.
NRFB: mint item in a box that was never opened "never removed from box"
Paint wear: minor defect usually found on loose older toys. Normal sign that
a toy has been played with.
POTF: Power of the Force, line of Star Wars toys 1985
POTF2: Power of the Force, line of Star Wars toys 1995-1997
Premiums: free items or ones that accompanied promotions at a special price.
Promo: an item that was used to promote something or was used in a product's promotion.
PVC: a popular plastic used in injection mould production of toy figurines
(poly-vinyl-chloride).
Loose: an item that is in good condition but no longer has the original
packaging.
R: an item for which the moulds have been retired, item will never be produced
again.
Regional: items that were available only in certain areas, limited by geography.
ROTJ: Return of the Jedi, line of Star Wars toys
SASE: "self addressed stamped envelope".
SLU: Starting Line Up sports figures
SS: Super Smurf, usually came boxed or carded. They always have accessories.
STNG: Star Trek the Next Generation
SW: Star Wars
TMNT: Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles.
WDP: Walt Disney Productions, this denotes a slightly older Disney item.
